Mrs. Sawsan’s WorkShop
I just back from school.. before that I went to a workshop in Ramada hotel in Rig3eee..
There, the workshop was held by a Mrs. Sawsan Al-Bloushi… and she was simply amazing… innovative, creative and passionate… Here’s the notes I wrote (happy notes, not bored ones)…
* Arrived early with the Senior teacher of the Social Studies department.. around 8:30..
* Chai 7aleeb… yum!
* We go into the small hall, sit at a table and then three kindergarten teachers and an elementary school Art teacher join us..
* I am on planet teacher. I can related to everything everybody’s talking about… Staff members, senior teachers, Principal talk, Tawjeeh talk.. everything..

* Mrs. Sawsan starts right on time, at 9:00, and the hall is full… I’m impressed…
* A photographer from a magazine or newspaper comes to take a pic of our table.. I’m trying to look professional… then I sneeze as soon as the flash goes..
* A teacher’s cell phone goes off, and we all turn and tut tut as she struggles to shut up the Pussycat Dolls’ version of “Sway”..
* I almost burn the hair of a woman sitting behind me with my firey death stare.. She’s on the phone in the midde of the workshop and she’s saying out loud: “Eee! I’m at the workshop! Haa? HAaa? MA ASMA3! Eee? Haaa?!”
* A TV camera dude comes in.. He starts filming our side of the table and I’m trying to look professional… I sneeze as soon as the camera’s on me! SHFEENI EL YOM?!?
* I seriously think I’m starting to get sick… *sniff*
