So since the girls (Juju, EniGma & Pearls) have already posted about our Girls’ Day In, I guess it’s my turn now…

On Saturday, the girls came over for lunch at my house, we had a good time and were thinking of Chika (since she couldn’t come) the whole time.. We wished she was with us so we could all hug her and try to make her feel better.. We missed you that day, babe :*

Here’re the highlights:

* Chika comes over to drop the Bamya and Pasta dishes, I give her a good serving of SwairBearHug..

* I cooked Machboos Diyay with 7asho, Fatoush salad (even though i forgot the bread that goes on top lol), the marble cake Chika loved (and hated me for)…

 And Flake Cakes in Bowls… As opposed to José Jalapeno On a Stick… Same recipe posted here, just different presentation..

See the layers of chocolate cream, cake and buscuits? *wiggles her eyebrows*

* Juju’s the first to arrive with ice cream (more like Bo’9a 3arabiya)… we humor her and agree to her claims that she “made” it.. and a Baqlawa dish…

* Pearls arrives next with some hot Chicken Mushroom dish, a very refreshing salad and a chocolate cake.. (all three goregously decorated!)

* EniGma brings a varied pastry dish from Mr. Baker.. I loved the pizzas!

* Sou brings donuts from Krispy Kreme… pure heaven.. PLUS Sponge Bob Square Pants characters on the donuts..

* Fantasia arrives last with a samboosa dish..

* Sou scares the living crap out of Amer when she runs up to him to grab his toy gun… aka his “Mudadas”..

* We had all the food on the tables bouffet-style.. but ended up laying a tiny picnic on the floor, right smack in the middle of the diwaniya, in front of the TV lol…
We were watching So You Think You Can Dance, admiring and criticising all the lean sexy dancing bodies (most of them were lean at least) and stuffing our faces lol
Then caught an episode of F.R.I.E.N.D.S and laughed at how Emma’s face ended up on a penis cake.. (ask die-hard F.R.I.E.N.D.S fans and you’ll know what I mean lol)
The whole time we’re eating, Amer’s with us.. he almost talks to Juju… almost, asking for some “Bebthi“.. which is Amerish for “Pepsi” lol

* We shared, tasted and tested all the desserts.. at the same time I’m transferring the new shows from Juju’s HD to mine..

* We talked about work, babies, stupid people and life in general..

* My cousin’s cat makes a little surprise cameo, Juju falls in love (will find a pic soon)..

* We flip through channels and laugh at a bunch of random stuff… enjoying the ice cream Juju made (or bought).. Sou screams out “I CAN’T FEEL MY HAND!!!!” after holding the ice cream bowl for a long time..

* Juju has to leave, then Pearls.. we hug and kiss them goodbye…

* Sou then has to leave, but gives us one last Mika dance to “Love Today” while we scare her with cameras :p (no pics were taken as blackmail, don’t worry).. then Fantasia has to leave..

* EniGma & I watch TV.. Hidden Palms comes on.. this post is created lol.. then we compare pointy heels and feet (don’t ask.. sugar-high i think).. then she has to go home..

That’s pretty much it.. I still wish Chika, Blue Dress, Fayoor, Powder, Yara, Princess, Lailo, Kalikabooki, Dorie & Nutta could come but that just gives me an excuse to plan another girly get-together hehe
