(Warning: long almost rant-y, mostly music-y post..)
Like almost all the teachers in Kuwait, I have to keep going to work to do NOTHING til the 26th (that’s 2moro but i feel like ranting anyway)… now this really really really really sucks ass! I have to wake up at 6:00 AM (SIX AM, PEOPLE!!) everyday (EVERY DAAYYY!!) just to get dressed, go to work, sit at my desk and… well, just to sit there, basically.
I prefer to be snuggled in my big warm bed at home, especially after spending two to three days staying at school till 5:00 PM just to finish correcting papers! AND being chosen to supervise a bunch of exams where all I have to do is walk up and down a classroom, watching and (for the first time) envying the students because they actually have something to do such as studying and writing answers on an exam paper…
Now exams are over for both unified and credit system students, grades have been put into the computer system and report cards and certificates given out… and, us teachers, are still here.. waiting for… nothing.
So yes, I’m extremely bored and yes, I do always have my iPod with me… so what does any other sane (am i?) person do in this situation? click on shuffle!
It’s amazing how all the songs you’ve never cared to give a listen actually end up being interesting.. so after some exploring, here are the songs that caught my attention and I’m really liking these days.. it’s a bit like the Soundtrack of the Day expect without u guys knowing what I was doing at the time… here’s a hint: Sleeping with my head on the desk like an obedient 7 year old after finishing an exam…
