It’s my brother’s birthday today!! Nas is 20!

OMG, i’m such a 3ayooz.. i can’t believe i’m turning 23 this August! *shocked face*

Anyways, so this is a half/half post.. the first half is about Nas’s birftay, and the second half is about his current favorite album, Linkin Park’s “Minutes to Midnight”…

The least I have to say is that it’s AMAZING.. you’d expect the usual Linkin Park sounds, but they actually shock u with something totally new.. it’s not the usual Chester screaming and Mike rapping and record scratching.. this time u actually hear Chester singing ordinary vocals, his voice it pretty sweet.. and Mike does his rapping, but there’s something new about it that i can’t put my finger on… 

Some tracks even have a Coldplay-ish feeling to them, they’re calm but rockish… much more grown up than Meteora, their last album.. apparently they had time to evolve their style, even when Mike Shinoda was releasing his Fort Minor album…

They even have a new look which is so hot.. Chester’s yellow/white hair is gone and Mike couldn’t look any hotter… AND the drummer! (standing behind Chester in the pic) *melts*…

 There are three other songs that i LOVE from the album.. I’m posting the rock-y ones for u to download, awal shay What I’ve Done, then there’s Bleed It Out, which has clapping in it (non-cheesy clapping, more like nod-your-head-with-the-song-clapping)… last but not least Given Up… the one that sounds different and no where near Linkin Park-ish to me is called The Little Things Give You Away.. the guitars in it are amazing..
