Things You Desperately Needed To Know

Okay people, i was reading a book of mine called “THAT BOOK” by Mitchell Symons and it’s all about really useless things, and these are my favorites :D Ili between brackets in purple are my own comments…

- China has more English speakers than the U.S. (mashalla)

- Stephen King’s Father went out for a packet of cigarettes and never returned. (we7na shako?)

- In Ancient Egypt, priests plucked every hair from their bodies, including eyebrws and eyelashes. (and i thought women suffered more)

- The longest recorded flight of a chicken is 13 seconds. (wanasa :p)

- Six out of seven gynaecologists are men. (i wonder why?)

- Eminem, Lance Armstrong, Sir Charlie Chaplin, Bill Clinton, Vanilla Ice, Eric Clapton, Naomi Campbell and Mike Tyson never knew their fathers. (go figure)

- A Goldfish has a memory span of three seconds. (aww such sweet memor..- huh?)

- In Tallin, Estonia, couples are not allowed to play chess in bed while making love. (LA LA! So unfair!)

- The fathers of Robert Redford, Sting, and Emma Bunton were all milkman. (Imagine if it was a family business and Sting appeared at your door)

- The Bible is the most shoplifted book in the U.S. (no comment)

- The fathers of Judy Garland, Jacqueline Onassis Kennedy, Liza Minnelli, and Anne Heche were all gay. (well, judy garland IS liza minnelli’s mom… hmmm)

- 111,111,111 (multiply) 111,111,111 = 12,345,678,987,654,321

- Eric Clapton and Jack Nicholson had mothers whom the rest of the world thought were their sisters. (*lifts an eyebrow*)

- Grapes explode when you put them in the microwave. (ooh ooh ooh! I wanna try! Pick me! Pick me!)

- Watching T.V uses up 50 percent more calories than sleeping. (just makes it even better)

- Adolf Hitler, D.H. Lawrence, Sigmund Freud, Elvis Presley, Peter Tchaikovsky, Harry Houdini and Sir Isaac Newton all had mother fixations. (oh dear..)

- No word in the English language ryhmes with orange, silver or month. (for the people who want to write poetry)

- People who live in the city have longer, thicker nose hairs than people who live in the country. (i do NOT want to know how they figured that out)

- Your stomach has to produce a new layer of mucus every two weeks otherwise it will digest itself. (ugh…)

- Banging your head against a wall uss 150 calories an hour. (don’t do this at home)

- The average person laughs 15 times a day. (i bet you’re all gonna start counting your laughs :D)

We get goose bumps where our ancestors used to have hair. (how hairy ARE my ancestors?)

- The average human eats eight spiders in his or her lifetime at night. (hmm)

- The microwave was invented after a researcher walked by a radar tube and a chocolate bar melted in his pocket. (DAMN! I was gonna have that chocolate for a snack!)

- Richard Gere never swears. Any visitor who swears in his home is asked to leave. (i’m gonna visit him just to find out lol)

- Cut an onion in half, rub it on the sole of your foot, and an hour later you’ll taste onion in your mouth. (wanna try? It’s disgustingly tempting)

- Los Angeles’s full name is: “El Pueblo de Nuestra Senora la Reiina de los Angeles de Poriuncula”. (i prefer the longer version)

- You could drive a car round the world four times with the amount of fuel in a jumbo jet. (ROAD TRIP! Woohoo!)
